there's always something about having a newborn in the house, the way everyone is buzzing with excitement from the birth, and what a new soul brings to the household, how much of a transition it is for the littles, and mama juggling a new rhythm and routine. i've been with lauren and her family before,  when she was still pregnant and just loved their energy. i've also been loving the great people i meet doing these photosessions, and how many of them i've become friends with, when we're not busy with our kids or whatever else!

when i showed up, it seemed everything was coming along great, some paleo chocolate chip cookies were getting made (we found out several months back that we shared the love of paleo and nourishing food among other things!) and lauren's mother and aunt (?) were in town. definitely was a good day and such a sweet sweet family. these parents really have it down. these kids are blessed.

I am your moon and your moonlight too
I am your flower garden and your water too
I have come all this way, eager for you
Without shoes or shawl
I want you to laugh
To kill all your worries
To love you
To nourish you.

I also witnessed some tree trimming issues and i got to talk story with Shannon's parents, i mulled over the things in their home, eyed a ship that is actually made in Indonesia, and a very cool old radio with the names of Seattle's top radio stations. Shannon has gone to culinary school, and her parents use to own a restaurant. They are a happy bunch, and it's good to find families that spend time together, cook together, eat together. here just a few...

vegas transplants just shy of 3 months, this sweet family of *almost 3* joined me for a gorgeous sunny day in gig harbor. working for the gig harbor fire department is what moved them up northwest. they are in love with the lush evergreens and who couldn't be... every time i am away from the pacific northwest, i come back in awe with the landscape. and on a sunny day like today, the whole state comes alive.

i met casey + james at wilkinson park in gig harbor. it's been a while since i've done this, and it was so much fun. i really missed this!

With their sweet brand new four month old baby boy, and grandparents,  this family had such good energy, such laughter, and made it easy for me to capture some moments between them. part of why i like doing this, are the people i meet. come meet the haxton family!
